Qld: Life term for girlfriend stabbing

A man has been sentenced in Brisbane to life in jail for stabbing his ex-girlfriend
to death because she accused him of rape.

FREDERICK ALLEN SELLEN, a 19-year-old chicken farm worker, pleaded guilty to murdering
NATALIE HAYWOOD in April 2001, at Carina in Brisbane's south-eastern suburbs.

Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions PAUL RUTLEDGE says the couple had broken up
after 24-year-old Ms HAYWOOD alleged SELLEN had sex with her while she slept.
