Vic: Portland Technology Park in danger

The Victorian Opposition claims a $1 billion technology park planned for Portland in
western Victoria is set to join a long list of projects in the state that are under threat.

Opposition leader DENIS NAPTHINE, whose electorate includes Portland, says the Victoria
Integrated Technology Park has failed to attract the interest of investors.

He says it now seems the project is in some difficulties and I believe the government
really must accept its responsibilities, show some leadership and get involved in trying
to help this project get up and going.
